With 12 of its most popular games coming to the next generation of Microsoft's mobile platform, I can stop complaining that games like Asphalt 7 and N.O.V.A. 3 aren't on Windows Phone 7 and start whining about not having a Windows Phone 8. Huzzah! More »

Abusive Player Editing Shows We Can't Have Nice Things in Madden

When it released, Madden NFL 13's new "Connected Careers" mode forbade the editing of any player. This was somewhat understandable, as the roster is used by others online and changes can affect the outcomes of games elsewhere in your league. It was still rather Draconian, as it meant you could not edit your own created player, so if you happened to give him a helmet with no facemask, well, that's what he was wearing until he went into Canton. Macross FB7 is More a 90-Minute Commercial Than a Film

Macross FB7 is More a 90-Minute Commercial Than a Film

Thanks to the surprise popularity of Macross Frontier, the Macross franchise has been riding a wave of popularity for the last five years. However, as popular as Macross Frontier is, the longest series in the franchise was 1994's Macross 7 (52 episodes, a movie, and an OVA). So this year, as part of Macross' 30th anniversary, a movie crossover between the two series was released this past weekend in Japan. But what comes out of this is far from your standard crossover film; rather it's perhaps the most meta clip show ever devised. Whether it's good or not, however, is something altogether different.
